Tower of London Poppies

A beautiful fall day spent at the Tower of London enjoying  an art installation in the tower's moat showcasing hundreds of thousands of handcrafted red clay poppies created to commemorate the fallen British soldiers of World War I. I chose to paint just a few hundred of those poppies, being especially intrigued by their shadows & reflections in the surrounding puddles from the rain earlier in the day.
